The XI World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) Congress was held from July 29-August 2, 2026 at the Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This year we commemorate 70 years of WUJA’s legacy of promoting Ignatian values and fostering global collaboration.
WUJA 2026 is designed to: 1) Define strategies for building strong, Ignatian-rooted networks, 2) Foster meaningful partnerships that deliver real value to alumni, Jesuit institutions, and communities worldwide and 3) Engage in critical discussions about the challenges and opportunities shaping the future.
Five Filipino Jesuit Schools Alumni Associations participated in the assembly: Ateneo de Manila, Ateneo de Davao, Ateneo de Naga, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan and Xavier School.
The Office of University Development and Alumni Affairs (OUDAA) and the Ateneo Alumni Association represented Ateneo de Manila University.
In the audience with the Superior General, Fr Arturo Sosa SJ, our very own AAA President, Atty Steff Baltao-Basilio was given the privilege to deliver the statement for the Jesuit Alumni Communities of Asia.
With this experience, we look forward to building more alumni relations with a goal of continued Ignatian formation and growth. AMDG!
“WUJA is a global organization that connects and unites alumni of Jesuit educational institutions to promote Jesuit values and serve the greater good.”
