Ateneo Alumni News Round Up: JULY 1 – 31 2026

1. Last July 27, 2026, the Ateneo Alumni community in Singapore, led by Ms Lissy Ann-Puno, gathered for a simple fellowship at the Saint Ignatius Church in Kings Road. It was attended by the Ateneo Office of University Development, and the Ateneo Alumni Association.

The last time the community was visited by the AAA was in 2017, by the first female president, Ms Miel Reyes. Last July 27 was the next visit, by the second female president, Atty Steff Baltao-Basilio.

It was a night full of reconnecting bonds allowing renewed interest in formalizing chapter affiliation by Ateneo Alumni in Singapore. AMDG!

2. The XI World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) Congress was held from July 29-August 2, 2026 at the Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This year we commemorate 70 years of WUJA’s legacy of promoting Ignatian values and fostering global collaboration.

In the audience with the Superior General, Fr Arturo Sosa SJ, our very own AAA President, Atty Steff Baltao-Basilio was given the privilege to deliver the statement for the Jesuit Alumni Communities of Asia.

With this WUJA experience, we look forward to building more alumni relations with a goal of continued Ignatian formation and growth. AMDG!
