The Jesuit Volunteers of the Philippines is a lay organization of young men and women who assist in social, pastoral and development work of missions, apostolates, NGOs, schools and social development agencies. JVP aspires to see young professionals for others willing to spend a year or two in remote areas where they are needed the most.

JVP started with the vision of Fr. Bill Kreutz, SJ and Fr. Jemy See, SJ in 1980 to create an outreach program for young people to serve for one year, not just one summer. Currently, it has over 144 partner institutions around the country. The organization’s efforts focus on poor communities, including indigenous people such as the Lumads of Mindanao, Mangyans of Mindoro, Dumagats of Aurora and Aetas of Zambales.

Today, JVP is need of volunteers in Upland parish and private schools  in the mountains of Bukidnon, Mindoro and Subic, shores of Aurora, Dinagat Island and farmlands around the country.

Both AAA and the JVP shares a vision of a community living and sharing Ignatian values and inspire men and women to be for others. If you wish to donate to strengthen this cause and the organization, visit http://www.jvpfi.org/donate/
